Jessica Simpson Shoe Collection.

I like to browse Instagram for fashion ideas and whilst browsing shoes one day I came across a pair and fell in love. After a bit of research I found that the shoe designer was Jessica Simpson. Having been a fan of her music for many years and loving the show Newlyweds, which she did with her ex husband Nick Lachey, I was desperate to see more of the designs. I wasn't disappointed.

As the range hadn't been that well promoted over here in the UK I did a bit of research online and found that House of Fraser and Debenhams both stock the Jessica Simpson range. Prices are between £60-£85 and at the minute there seems to be a lot of the stock on sale. The shoes appear to be of a high quality and look durable too.

The above 4 pairs are on my wish list for Christmas so I'm hoping the boyfriend pulls through and buys me a pair.

You can browse the selection at both these websites House Of Fraser and Debenhams

Bank Holiday madness!

So I haven't blogged over the weekend as I've been busy with my 6 month old baby, Lucie. We started to wean her. I've also been out seeing out the bank holiday in style with my friends.

My outfit here is £13 from Primark which I think is a bargain. However, the material has started to bobble after I've worn it once. So as much as I love the dress I don't feel like it's going to last me very long!

The Radio One interview I did with Olly Murs and Greg James was also aired and I was quite disappointed. They cut out all the funny bits we spoke about and made it sound like quite a serious chat!! The joys of editing!!

At the moment i'm currently in the process of planning other blog posts. If anyone has any ideas of what they want me to blog about then please let me know!!

Hope you all had a good bank holiday! Let me know what you got up to!

Pac Sun.

Like a lot of people I LOVE the Kardashians and have followed their lives on numerous TV shows. Recently Kendall and Kylie Jenner have come more into the limelight and because of their success have launched their own clothing range called PACSUN.

As I'm slightly older than them both I was a bit unsure as to whether I would like their collection or if I would feel it was simply too young for me to wear. I checked out their website and was pleasantly surprised at the range and better still the clothes are at affordable prices and they ship world wide!!

Pacsun have a wide range of clothing and sizes available and have the most up to date trends on the website. There is also a menswear range and different collections to take a look at.

I tend to regularly browse the internet and gossip columns and I saw Kylie Jenner in this outfit which is SO me, as I love the cute girly look, so I just had to know where she got it from.

So I checked the Pac Sun website and it was on there!! The Crop top is currently out of stock but the dress was in stock at £37.48 which I don't think is too bad!!

At the minute I keep seeing bloggers and my friends on both Facebook and Twitter keep asking where is good to shop online for dresses etc and I would without a doubt recommend Pacsun.

Check out the Pacsun range at Pacsun

Have you shopped at Pacsun? What did you think?

On Radio One today for 'Ladytime' with Greg James and Olly Murs.

So last night I was sat browsing my twitter timeline, as you do, and Greg James tweeted out if anyone has a problem they would like to speak to Olly Murs about on tomorrows Radio One show email greg.james@bbc.co.uk . Now anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely LOVE Olly Murs and I'm fortunate to be one of the only people he follows on Twitter so I thought let's email. I certainly didn't think I'd be hearing anything back.

About 5 minutes later, whilst chilling on the sofa with my boyfriend Chris, I had a phone call which said BLOCKED, normally I don't answer these calls, but for some reason I answered it and a lady said ' Hi Helen, it's Pippa from Radio One' I was like 'oh hiya' she then proceeded me to ask what my problem was to which because I was so shocked to be called I said the SHITTEST question ever. She said that I would get a call in the morning at around 10am.

After sitting on what had just happened I was like I can't ask that question it's rubbish. So I emailed Greg again asking if I could change my question. Next minute Pippa rings me back and proceeds again to ask me my problem. This time I thought I'd ask a banter type question which hopefully will make Greg and Olly feel uncomfortable answering so I said ' my problem is that I've got one boob bigger than the other and I'd like to know if that would bother men such as themselves' I then asked if I could actually say the word boob on radio and Pippa said she would ask her editor. I could hear in the background they was both laughing their heads off at my question and the editor was like yes she can. Pippa then came back on the phone and told me that I have to ask my question to both Greg and Olly and expect a call at 10am in the morning and to make sure I have plenty of battery and signal. Before ending the call Pippa told me that it's ok to have one boob bigger than the other hahaha. I was laughing my head off. Just to clarify, my boobs are absolutely fierce and I love them!! I just wanted to say something different and funny which I knew I'd get a bit of banter from!!

So this morning, as promised, I was phoned at 10am by Pippa to be told that I'm going to be called back later as Greg isn't in yet but am I still ok to ask my question? I was like yeah that's fine and Pippa was like it's a very common problem you're not alone! (hahaha) I was seriously trying not to laugh.

After waiting what seemed like ages (it wasn't just felt like an age) I finally got the call......

A lady called Jade rang me and said I was going to be on line 1 but I had to hold for round about 8 minutes! Around 12 minutes in Jade came back on the phone and said I'm so sorry Helen, Greg and Olly won't shut up!

Then my turn came..... We have Helen on line 1! We say hello, how are you etc. and then Greg asks me to ask Olly my question. Cue me.

'I have massive boobs and one is a bit bigger than the other, does this pose an issue for gentlemen like yourselves' Olly quipped in with 'I don't care I love boobs' Greg was asking about the size of my boobs if one hangs lower than the other etc. The Olly said between me you and Greg I have one bollock that hangs lower than the other. I was quick to reply that that was in no way an issue at all! Greg then went onto say that is sounds like I have fabulous boobs and that himself and Olly are intrigued! I told Greg I have his email and that Olly follows me on twitter so I can slip them a little something haha. Both we're like whayyyyyy!! haha. It was complete lad banter from start to finish which is just what I wanted and Greg and Olly we're absolutely lovely and didn't disappoint! All in all I got about 10 minutes on the phone with them.

It was a pre record so for the sake of the show i'm guessing that some of the conversation will be edited out but it was just a great opportunity to do!

Greg James Tweeted me after the interview letting me know when it will be on air.

So it's going to be on air on Tuesday 27th August from 5pm. So tune in!! I shall be adding an audio to this blog when it has aired so you can all listen to it!

The Radio One website is here. Radio One

Review : Bufferzone Nails.

As a new blogger I was asked by Leanne of Bufferzone Nails to review some press on nails for my blog. I'll be honest, I've not really taken care of my nails over the years and although I'm ashamed to admit it I have been one for the occasional nail biting. Gross I know.

I chose the nails i wanted to try and when they arrived i couldn't wait to try them and they didn't disappoint. The design I chose are available for £5.99. The nails can be fitted with either the self adhesive nail tabs or actual nail glue. I was sent the tabs and they were really easy to fit onto my nails. I then stuck the nails over the top. I have been wearing the nails for 2 days now and they have been really durable and look great too.

I chose the matte black nails with the black tips as I've really been wanting to buy a black matte nail polish but haven't got round to it yet. I have weird looking hands and I've always thought they look a bit manly but these nails have made my hands feel girly.

Bufferzone Nails have a wide range of colours and popular designs available including the stiletto shaped nail which is rather popular with celebrities at the moment. Jessie J has sported the stiletto nail for a few months now.

I will definitely be buying some more nails from Bufferzone Nails as they are a great price for a brilliant product. Very much getting value for money.

To get yourself some nails or to just have a browse please go to Bufferzone Nails you can also follow on twitter at @BufferZoneNails

cocoPPa - IPhone App.

About 6-8 months ago I was looking through my phone to find some funky new app's to make my IPhone more interesting. I stumbled upon cocoPPa. cocoppa is an app that changes the usual icons on your phone to custom funky ones. Suddenly my IPhone layout didn't seem so boring. You can also choose cute little backgrounds.

cocoPPa can be quite confusing at first. Long before I entered the world of blogging I typed in 'how to use cocoPPa into Google and it came up with Style Fake blog. This helped me immensely and was worded so it was easy to follow. So if you decide that you like this app then I suggest you give the blog a view and follow the instructions.

This is how I've made my phone look and also what the app itself looks like.

Log into Appstore now and get cocoPPa for free!!

My Favourite Look - August

At the moment I'm really loving the trend of the oversize American football/baseball shirts teamed with a thick chunky neck piece, beanie hat and the ever faithful Converse! When I was younger I used to be a complete tomboy and it's nice to see that dressing like a tomboy is back in! I've seen Rita Ora and Holly Hagan from Geordie Shore both wearing this style and I loved it the moment I clapped eyes on it. I've seen reasonably prices oversized tops in both Primark and Topshop both for reasonable prices.

I've noticed this look being worn as both a daytime and night time outfit but personally, for me I'd wear it in the daytime as I like to be in dresses and generally be quite girly on a night out!

What are your favourite trends at the moment?

Loreal Professional, Serie Professional, Absolut Repair Cellular Masque.

My hair has gone through a lot of changes within the last year, I became pregnant and grew so much hair I didn't know what to do with it. The condition of it, sadly, went downhill and it became so dry and brittle. Since having my baby girl I've also had to deal with that dreaded post pregnancy hair loss that happens and I was at breaking point. How can I save my hair??

One of my best friends Sally is an educator for GHD and has literally SAVED my hair with this product. Whilst at her house getting ready for a night out I confessed my hair problem to her and she gave me this product.

The masque itself is for very damaged hair. I put mine on and leave for 40 minutes and then wash the masque out. My hair has regained its shine and softness and I feel confident about my hair again!

The masque itself normally retails at around £17.95 but it is well worth the money if you are in the middle of a hair crisis!!

The Liebster Award

I've not had my blog up and running for long and I've been lucky enough to be nominated by two friends, fellow bloggers and tweeters The Brunette Says who is on Twitter as @Lianne84 and Stilettosstarsandrocknroll also on Twitter as @jakstweet for The Liebster Award! Here is some information on the award.........

The Liebster Award is given to new, up and coming blogs who have less than 200 followers. Awards like these are a fantastic way to spread the word about new blogs who may be struggling to make their name amongst other blogs.
Liebster is German for dearest, kindest, sweetest, lovely, valued, endearing and welcome. Sweet, huh?
We all know that blogging is all about sharing, connecting and building a community. And these kind of awards are a great way to help promote smaller blogs, and to get to know the person behind the blog.
There are of course some rules, these are as follows…
1. Show your appreciation by linking back to the person who nominated you.
2. List 11 facts about yourself.
3. Answer the 11 questions given to you by the person who nominated you.
4. Nominate another 11 blogs, preferably with less than 200 followers, to pass the award on to.
5. Compile 11 questions for your nominees to answer.
6. Notify the bloggers you have nominated.

To be honest, I didn't know whether anyone would read my blog but I've had over 250 views since I started it! I suppose I better give you the 11 facts about me.

1. I'm an identical twin.

2. My biggest fear is Baked Beans.

3. I am 50% deaf and will soon have to wear a hearing aid.

4. Olly Murs is my ideal man and I'm fortunate enough for him to follow me on Twitter.

11. I'm a size 16 and proud of it.

My 11 Question Interview…

I wanted the name to be something a bit cute and that was the 1st thing that popped into my head.

I'd only say camping if it was at VFest! Otherwise it'd have to be 5*

I love cooking but at the moment I have to say my Fajitas are the winner!

A begginers guide to craving.

Craven - "cowardly, mean spirited" - Well...... I can't help but think the dictionary got it half right.

Me, like most people into the boy band side of the music industry, i watched the documentary on the One Direction fans last night. My 1st thought was feeling sorry for these girls. For a start they've made themselves look mentally unstable and worst of all they're making a rod for their own backs. What band is going to want to meet their fans when they realise they are a bunch of nutters who believe they are in a relationship with one of the members?

Back in our day we didn't get braces on our teeth because we wanted something in common with one of the members, we actually spent our time studying airport arrivals and departures timetables, booking hotels and flights, ringing the record companies and filling our petrol tanks in case a gig or appearance came up. These girls are spending more time obsessing, and sadly, believing that they will get married to a boy band member and live happily ever after. In our day the bands actually used to sleep with the fans, I should know as I was one of them. Wouldn't happen now days as security is way too tight.

I quit the band thing in 2007. I grew up, but that doesn't mean that I regret anything from the past. It was one of the best times of my life. Admittedly I did some things most fans didn't but still, it was great.

There are about 60 girls from all over the UK, and some from around the world, that I still speak to nearly 10 years on. Craving is a bit dog eat dog. Trust no one. Even your best friend at the time can turn in an instant and put the crave first!

Below is a list of things that will help a craven of today.

1. Research all the TV studio locations and tube maps for directions on how to get to each one without having to worry about it nearer the time.

2. Know your flight information. Scan arrival and departure times at airports to get the best of an airport crave.

3. Take your time to get to know the tour manager, even if this takes away from the crave, it will pay off at a later date when you need information that most fans won't get.

4. Learn to drive. A lot of fan miss opportunities when they don't. When in a prev travelling from gig to gigs most bands stop at a service station. A golden opportunity to get the crave.

5. Know the fan hierarchy structure for your band. It is a little bit like mean girls. There will be the cool Asians, the art freaks and the girls everyone is jealous of..... THE PLASTICS but in the craving world otherwise known as the ORIGINALS.

6. Apply for every studio audience ticket going for the off chance that you might get one of the shows for your group.

7. Don't bother waiting outside TV studios in London, chances are the band just wanna fuck off home or they have somewhere else to be! Don't be naïve enough to think that's the only thing they have planned that day!

8. DO a whole tour and stay in the bands hotels. This I guarantee will be the best time of your life and it is also where you will get the best crave. Research your hotels thoroughly! You don't wanna be getting it wrong!

9. If you're not on 1st name terms with the band, or haven't been there since the first single as one of the originals then don't bother wasting your time as you'll just be another, soon to be forgotten, face in the crowd.

10. Make friends with the papperazzi outside events you go to. They are a key source in giving out valuable information regarding the bands.

And lastly know the difference between a fan, a craven and the crave!

Remember we didn't have the internet in our day. It was all down to hard work and good friendships!

My Beauty Essentials

I thought I'd show you all some of my beauty essentials which I use in my daily routine. These literally are my can't live without products that I stock up on without fail. I would be lost without these products.

The first product is Batiste Dry Shampoo in Floral & Flirty Blush. As every girl with long hair knows, sometimes it's just a pure effort to wash, blow dry and straighten hair, especially on a hot day. Personally, I think dry shampoo is a god send for those lazy days where you just can't be bothered. I've recently dyed my hair from being red to brown. The only thing I would say about this dry shampoo is that if you press the nozzle down to hard it comes out a bit too powdery and leaves me looking a bit grey so I have to massage my hair and scalp and brush it out. That aside it's a great product with a nice fruity smell that makes you look fierce even if you're not feeling it!

Second up is my favourite lipstick of all time. I will not use any other more than this! Its a MAC lipstick in MYTH. It's great for a nice simple daytime lipstick or as a nice natural shade for a night out with the girls. Frankly, I'm obsessed! You must try this lipstick!!

Now, as a girl with insanely dry skin I thought I'm never going to find a foundation that helps my skin instead of hinders it. Until I found this beauty bargain. I'd tried literally every foundation going. I've always been very pale too so I'm normally a Ivory or Porcelain girl in the foundation department and sometimes, if there isn't a tester, it can be hard to match my skin correctly. To be honest, I was a tad desperate and in a rush for a foundation one day and I picked this little legend up from Boots for £1.99. Yes that's £1.99. I've never looked back! It lasts all day and works with my skin so well that I don't end up looking like I have dry peel able skin all over my face! The shade I use in the Natural Collection Foundation is Porcelain.

In the perfume department I'd always been a huge fan of Paris Hilton by Paris Hilton. It was my signature fragrance at one point. I'd walk into work and my colleagues would instantly know I was in the building. However, whilst duty free shopping at Dublin airport I smelt Viktor Rolph - Flower Bomb and instantly fell in love. This perfume is a little pricey so it's best to ask for it as a birthday or Christmas gift if you don't want to splash out. I told my boyfriend Chris about it on a whim and he remembered and brought it for me last Christmas. It's a very floral and fruity smell and I forever get compliments when I wear it.

Like I've said previously, I suffer from the horror of dry skin and I'm not on about flaky skin here and there, I'm on about a full on snow storm if I don't look after it! The next two products tie in together for me. Whilst in Boots one day complaining to my Mum about how dry my skin is and looking for a facial scrub a woman came up to us and explained that she was a dermatologist. She recommended the next two products for me and they have, without exaggerating, changed my life. The first is Boots own brand Cucumber facial wash which is like a scrub on the skin and the second is Simple Nourishing Rich Moisturiser. Take note of the highlighted Rich Moisturiser and this is different from the normal moisturiser which Simple do. Introducing these items into my daily routine has given me the softest and smoothest skin and I couldn't be happier. So if anyone is in the same boat as me with dry skin, give these a try!

With nail polishes I, like most people, like the brands that don't tend to chip so easily after application. Accessorize do a great make up range and the nail polishes are amazing shades that you wouldn't tend to find in the bigger named brands. I love this shade called AZTEC. It's like a hologram and glitter polish that looks amazing and lasts for days!

Last but not least is my favourite blusher. It's by MAC and the shade is SPRINGSHEEN. I have used this blusher for years now and it's always devastating when I hit pan on this little beauty! For me, MAC products are amazing quality and the best brand around so it's well worth spending a little more to get the quality. Plus, they last for absolutely ages!

Hope you've all enjoyed my beauty essentials. What are some of your favourite products?

My 1st Post!!

After much consideration I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and get into this blogging malarkey! I've enjoyed reading blogs and watching Vlogs over the past few years and I've always something to say or be opinionated about. So here I am......

I guess a little bit about me before we start all this should be involved so here goes..... My name's Helen but H or Hel to most, I'm 30 and live in Nottingham. My biggest passions are music and clothes and anything to do with hair! I'm a mum to a beautiful baby girl called Lucie and I have a amazing boyfriend called Chris. I'm really confident, outspoken, girly and opinionated. I love football and support Arsenal, although after recent form I would say my support is a bit lacklustre.

I shall be blogging about my favourite things...... Clothes & beauty products with a couple of music posts here and there!!

I would really like to review products but have hardly any experience in doing so, so if you would like to help a new blogger out, or have any tips, please get in touch.

Apologies about the layout. At the moment it's a work in progress!!
